Watercolor portrait commissions are available on a case-by-case basis priced based on size and complexity. If interested in commissioning a portrait please email me directly with size, timeline, some basic background information on the subject, and high resolution reference photos to open a discussion. If we agree on the project I will send you compositional sketches to be approved within 1-3 weeks. Please allow at least 3 months from sketch approval to completed work, more time if there are multiple figures. Christmas commissions need to be agreed on by the end of September. I do not paint portraits of children but am happy to recommend folks who do. If I don’t have time or feel I’m not right for the subject I will refer you to another artist (but please don’t take it personally if I don’t have time to complete your project and do it justice. I want you to be satisfied with the likeness and artistic merit of your portrait and if I think another artist will be a better fit I’ll let you know). Whenever possible I prefer to meet the subject in person, and to paint eccentric women middle aged or older.

I will paint the very sweetest and goodest dogs, cats, snakes, toads, spiders, rats and lizards, on ceramics or in 2D, but only if you love them, prices depend on size and material. Ferrets are case by case for personal reasons.
